Another two game day on the night, And we’ll start it off with the Penguins and the Capitals. Capitals need a win to force game 7 and they did jsut that as they roll pass the Penguins 5-4 in overtime dispite Crosby scoring late to tie the game.
Second game was the Canucks and the Blackhawks, and the Canucks also need to win to force game 7, but they fail as Luongo lets 7 goals and The bulin wall allowing only 5, game was quite questionable… why? because a lot of Vancouver players got hit late and shot to the head with no calls and left bloody. NHL Playoffs 2009 Day 24

Two games on the day… again. And it was Penguins and the Capitals… back to back, where the Caps claimed it “shouldn’t be and both clubs hate it”. Well here it is. Done to the 3rd period where penguins have the lead 3-2 and Caps scores late and it was Ocvehkin who scored to push it to overtime. In Overtime it was Malkin who tried to pass to Crosby and Tomi Poti tips it in, by Varlamov.

Second Game of the night was Hawks and Canucks, Hawks jumped up to take the lead, Canucks striek on PP. Then Sundin scoresto take a 2-1 lead but hawks tie it, and Bolland in the 3rd period with the game winning goal and Havlat scores to ensure a victory for the hawks. 4-2 final.

NHL Playoffs 2009 Day 22

Two games, on the night, earlier game was the Canucks and the Blackhawks, where there was a lone gone by the Canucks untill a bad clearing attempt by Willie Mitchell as Martin Havlat pounced on the chance to score, and score he did. Sending it to overtime and Andrew Ladd tips the winner home, typing the series up.
The second game was the Redwings and the Ducks, again Ducks jump onto a 1-0 lead but does not hold as Hossa, and Franzen both scores twice to lead the Red wings to a 6-3 final.

NHL Playoffs 2009 Day 20

2 Games on the day, we’ll start of with the Red wings and the Ducks, series all tied up at one a piece, and Selanne opens the scoring with Niedermayer, and the lone goal by Zetterberg, and Detroit had a disallow goal, where the ref had “intentions” to blow the whistle. Second game, is the Blackhawks and the Canucks, and the hawks got an early powerplay but canucks killed it off and got to another 3-0 lead but this time they stood tall keeping the young hawks to the outside and Campbell got their only goal.

Other News: Phoenix Coyotes filed for Bankruptcy, and the co-CEO of Blackberry Jim Basillie had made an offer US$215.5million to buy the Phoenix Coyotes, and to move to Southern Ontario.

NHL Playoffs 2009 Day 17

2 games on the day, one that everyone has been waiting for, Crosby vs Ovechkin, both scoring a goal, Crosby almost made it two, but Varlamov make an unbelievable save on the goal line, and Capitals score a goal in the 3rd period to win the game. 2nd game of the night is the Canucks and the Blackhawks, what looked like a deja vu, the hawks came back again to win it, although Luongo did also make an unbelievable save on Eager.

Other Notes: Mike Brown will not be suspended, Refalski will be out of game 2.

NHL Playoffs 2009 Day 15

One game on the night and it wasn’t a pretty one, at the start of the series, lets get to know some history, Nikolai Khabibulin has never won a game against the Canucks since the 98′ so its been 11 years. Canucks coming into the game w/ 9 days off. As puck drops very calm couple of penalties untill the Hawk started taking double minors but Canucks couldn’t capitalize but they did score on a powerplay. 3-0 lead into the 3rd, in cruize control, Kane came out of the Box and scores to make it 3-1, Hawks on the powerplay also scored by Kane to make it 3-2, and Bolland scores to make it 3-3, everything looks great for the Hawks. But they give up a 4-1 and Salo scores and Johnson nets the empty netter to make it 5-3.

NHL Playoffs 2009 Day 14

The day that all round 2 playoffs would be set. Where 2 games will play game 7, one of them is Ranegrs and Capitals, rangers scores first but gave up 2 including the winner @ 15:00 where Capitals win game 7 by the score of 2-1 and it was where Rangers once had a 3-1 series lead too. The second game 7 game between Hurricanes and Devils where the home team has won all of the games thus in favour of the devils in the 3rd w/ a 3-2 lead Canes tied it and Eric Staal scores to win it for the Hurricanes. 4-3 was the score.

Other Notes:  Selke Trophy Finalist were announced today. Ryan Kesler, Pavel Datsyuk and Mike Richards.

NHL Playoffs 2009 Day 13

The day where the NHL handed down suspensions and where western conference round 2 is set. Calgary and Chicago, Calgary needs to win but fail to win falling 4-1 to Chicago. Sharks and duck, where sharks also need to win but also fail as they score first, and lose 4-1 as well. Many probably would say upset by the ducks, i don’t think so because they’ve always have been choking around playoff times.

Other Notes: Donald Brashear has been suspended for 6 games, for 2 incidents in a game, pregame and shot to head.
Cory Perry could also face suspension as hit to Cheechoo probably around 4 games.
