Early in the 2nd period Malkin had a breakaway but, Chris Osgood was up to the task stopping Malkin. The Penguins were basically dominating the period untill late in the period they iced the puck, D-men were on for a long period of time and a time out did not help as Franzen scores and once again another bounce off of Fleury. In the 3rd period the rookie called up;  Abdelkader scores as a 4th liner who did not see much ice time before this. After the goal and with a 2 goal cushion Babcock decided to roll all for of his lines. The game ends 3-1 and the Red Wings take first game. Next game is Sunday night 5:20 pm pst.
