Definition of a Cinderella Story:
A team or player who advances much further in a tournament than expected.
On Sept 2, 2010 Team fortress 2 blog posted an announcement about ETF2L a highlander league for europeans but they were opening up for north america because of promoting it they decided to throw in medals for participants and the top 3 teams, and of course this happen because of the booming items in tf2 everyone craved for. So posted on Fse Clan‘s forum and right after another was posted, mines going to the drain, however it was Hildreth who later added me and and invited me to the Lazytown Regulars Highlander group, which consisted of those who plays on lazytown and who too wanted to get the medal. As we got enough people well over 9(9 is the max as theres 9 class) and we started to practice on tf2lobby. Matches started to come closer and closer and we nailed down our 7 guys.. and every match 2 players would rotate… as i assume so everyone would get their medal because they participated on the matches. And we keep on winning and we were closing in on the top 60s… and some people began to not able to play because of classes and such, however we met two players on tf2lobby whose team lost; and we were practically missing two they hopped on board and it was history from there. But from there on the team we meet were probably favored to win but match after match we beat the odds and find victory. But all good things must come to an end… top 16, and all north american team has to play against an european team. Which the team is pretty well known, and our game was casted, the map Steel, Goldrush and Viaduct, we lost goldrush and Viaduct, but steel we definitely one of our biggest highlights in the tournament. We won that map in 70 seconds… because of an E rush while on the other map goldrush we totally got smoked, and Viaduct we lost 3-1, it was closer than it looked. All in all it was a great experience, to be able to make it this far it was a pleasure to be able to play with such great teammates. And to do this all over again i would in a heartbeat as we’re in UGC tournament, which is a seasonal thing.
