18 Last Hits: RIP SexyBamboe

#1. Veteran player, Alaan “SexyBamboe” Faraj has passed away. He will be missed by many and here are some of his moments.

#2. Dragon’s Blood Season 2 has an official date in 2022. It’s January 6, 2022. It’s crazy to see how well-received book 1 was, and with Riot’s League of Legend Arcane’s success, this will surely capture the sci-fi audience from both games.

#3. Black n Yellow does the impossible in the North American DPC region. They defeated Evil Geniuses 2-1 when everyone thought this would be an easy EG victory. The best moment came from Spirit Breaker landing three straight bashes on Artour “Arteezy” Babaev.

#4. Nigma Galaxy EU continues their struggle as they drop another series and go 0-2 to start the season. Next week they will get Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi to turn things around.

#5. Eastern Europe has some surprises, Navi and Virtus.pro are off to a slow start, while the TI10 Champions are 2-0.

#6. China’s division 2 teams are about to pull ahead, Aster.Aries leading the way with a 4-0 record, but CDEC is currently 0-4. There’s still time to right the ship, but they need to do it by the end of the week.

#7. It seems like TNC Predator in Southeast Asia’s attempt to go with a newer and younger roster is failing. They’re currently 0-3 and their three loss are to stronger teams, but time is running out.

#8. Motivate Trust was one of the stronger teams to end last DPC season, and this time they’re tied with T1 with a 2-0 record. S.E.A. region could have the most team heading to TI11 this year.

#9. With EG losing to Black N Yellow, North America just open right up for Quincy Crew and Undying and potentially 4 Zoomers. Last DPC season it was almost always a 3-way split between Undying, Quincy Crew, and Evil Geniuses all trading. EG could potentially miss out on the first major of the season.

#10. Surprise, surprise, surprise, South America has Beastcoast and Thunder Predator with 2-0 and a bunch of teams 1-1, this region will definitely go down to the wire and we’re in for a good ride!

#11. OGA Dotapit announced Season 5 that will feature the top eight teams from both Western and Eastern Europe. The event will be a double elimination that will run alongside week 3 of the DPC. It all begins on Dec 13, 2021 to Dec 20, 2021.

#12. It took long enough for tournaments to run alongside the DPC. With fewer games, I thought it would have happened in the second tour during the last DPC season. Glad it’s happening now and hopefully it will allow other casters to have an opportunity.

#13. Dota 2 personalities, Shannon “SUNSfan” Scotten and Nikki “Sajedene” Elise tied the knot over the week. Congrats to the couple.

#14. The Dota 2 community is asking Valve to not use old Dota 2 sets for the Dota+ treasure or treasure that will be awarded for fantasy points. Fans have a point, Dota 2 cosmetics have evolved so much over the years, many need to be updated a lot to keep up with the current trades of being sets that can essentially be deemed “legendary”, not that rarely really matters now…

#15. Crazy how Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner turned “reviving NA Dota” with Arkosh Gaming with memes and people are loving it. He certainly rode the wave of memes, but his team is struggling and down 0-2.

#16. Sticking with Arkosh, they welcome Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka back to competitive Dota by camping him twice before the game officially starts.

#17. How’s your fantasy Dota coming along? I’m struggling due to lack of playing and paying for packs, oh and I also missed the first week…

#18. Another week has gone by and the battle pass hasn’t arrived and honestly, I hope it doesn’t so I can’t get sucked back in and just enjoy Dota as a spectator.
