Fnatic and Evil Geniuses top the first BTS Pro Series tournament. Both teams dominated in the Grand Finals to win in their respective regions.
Fnatic only lost one game in the entire tournament and that came at the start of the playoffs, in the very beginning they lost top Boom Esports and never again.
14-1 that was the final record for Fnatic and they never looked weak against any other teams in the BTS Pro Series. They proved to still be the best team in the Southeast Asia region. TNC Predator, who won the first major, has been struggling recently and they barely squeaked into the playoffs with a 4-3 record. They had a strong performance but still lost 5-0 to Fnatic in the playoffs.
On the other side of the world, Evil Genius came into the Grand Finals with stronger strategies than Quincy Crew and defeated them 3-1. In Game 4, there was almost an awkward incident when Quincy Crew had to play 4v5 for a couple of minutes with one of their players disconnected and didn’t return for an extended period of time. Thankfully, in the end, the game ended with both teams playing with five players.
Evil Geniuses have now won back-to-back tournaments with two stand-ins. Once in the ESL One L.A. Online tournament and now the BTS Pro Series.
